These Petunias are compact bedding plants which produce masses of large flowers. Once your Petunia plants are established, use 5 plants to fill a 12" or 30cm pot, or plant them in garden borders 8" or 20cm apart.
These Petunia mini-plugs will need pricking out into small 5cm pots or seed trays with inserts. Grow the plugs on in a heated greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. They need to be kept at a minimum temperaturte of 7 degrees celsius. When the plugs are in the early growing stages, we recommend keeping them quite dry to encourage root growth. However it is very important not to let them dry out completely. The compost should be kept moist, not waterlogged, but also not dry and dusty. Once the risk of frost has passed your plants can be planted out in the garden.
Once the risk of frost has passed your plants can be planted out in the garden. Water them regularly to prevent them from drying out. Watering is best done in the morning or evenings instead of when the sun is at its strongest to prevent the leaves from being scorched. Feed weekly whilst in flower with a good quality multi-purpose feed. Remove faded blooms to keep your displays looking at their best.
