We made the protection of our Plug plants in the post one of our main priorities, after reading reviews that this is the major issue that customers have with mail order plants. So we have gone the extra mile, with a bullet proof system to make sure your plug plants are delivered to your door, just as they left.

Plants Protected with Strong Fitted Plastic Packets

These plastic cases, have been specially designed to fit the plug plants perfectly, keeping the root balls completely still during transit, while leaving the leaves free to breath, and not crushing the beautiful flowers of the plugs.

They clip together at the top, and we tape the ends for extra security, so you receive a perfectly healthy plug plant, every time.

Triple Layered Cardboard Boxes

These aren’t any ordinary boxes, they hold the plug plant containers completely still, and are triple layered for extra strength! Many reviews online stated how their boxes fell apart, or were damaged by couriers. So our boxes are strong enough to withstand any damage they could sustain en-route to your home.

Jumbo Plug Plant Details

All of our plug plants are “Jumbo” sized, so these are perfect for planting straight into small pots, to nurture until the weather improves, when you can plant them outside, in your hanging baskets or containers. We include full care instructions with all orders.

The plants are 3-8cm tall, depending on the average size of the variety, and come with a full, healthy root ball. We hand pick our plants, and ensure they are in the perfect position to grow, for example, geraniums must have extending roots before we post them, otherwise they will not establish themselves.

They require a small amount of water when you first receive your plants, and then once planted, try and water daily.

Mini Plug Plant Details

Our mini plugs or “bedding plants” are the same size and quality as those used in professional nurseries around the country, not the traditional tiny mail order version! We get the professional tray holding up to 480 plants, and split it into 4 parts, so you are guaranteed to receive a minimum of 100 healthy plugs.

They require potting on, and so you will need small pots (2 inches approx), or some trays that hold around 24 plugs each. They must be kept warm, and in a well lit place, such as a windowsill, and do not over water! Once they are large enough, after the frost has passed, they can be planted out into baskets or containers in your garden.
